Bank Speciment Reception Processing Officer - Band 2
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is both flexible and versatile, to join our fast paced and friendly team.
You will be responsible for handling, booking in, packaging and sending samples to Royal Sussex county hospital for COVID analysis.
Laboratory experience will be ideal but not necessary as full training will be provided.
You must be willing to be flexible with your working hours and work from 8am to 8pm including weekends and bank holidays, you may also be required to work outside these core hours on occasion, to accommodate the needs of the service.
You must be able to work well under pressure and in challenging conditions. You will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills, adaptable and with a capacity for processing information quickly and accurately.
You will be methodical and well organised with the ability to prioritise workload and have experience of working in a busy and demanding environment.
Good concentration levels and great attention to detail are essential.
You must have a very good standard of spoken and written English as you will be required to communicate clearly and concisely either by telephone, face to face, by letter or e-mail to a diverse group of service users.
