Your new company
A leading company have a large ongoing requirement for support workers to work with adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. Flexible shift patterns that include 7am-2pm, 2pm-9pm and waking nights 9pm-7am. There is the potential to go permanent after working for a period of 12 weeks giving you the opportunity to try out the service before being placed permanently.
Your new role
As a residential support worker, you will work closely with the team members and service users to assess and address the needs of the service users in residential care, whilst creating a safe and positive living environment and encouraging independence.
You will successfully liaise with the families of all service users as well as other health care professionals to ensure the needs of all residents are met.
What you'll need to succeed
A minimum of 6 months experience within the last 2 years is required and an NVQ L2/L3 would be advantageous but not essential. We must be able to obtain 2 recent and relevant references, to a satisfactory standard. If you have a current DBS which is on the update service, you are more likely to achieve immediate starts. Driving would be beneficial due to the rural locations of the homes.
