About the Job

As a dedicated Coordinator who enjoys a busy, ever changing work environment we need you to join our growing team at the Coventry & Warwickshire Out of Hours (OOH) service on a bank basis.The Coventry & Warwickshire OOH service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed. The OOH service operates throughout a number of locations within Warwickshire, however, the Coordinator role is based in our administration office in Nuneaton. The Coordinator is the key link and liaison point for all members of staff and is responsible for the management, escalation and reporting of our Service. There is opportunity for the successful candidate to work as both a Coordinator and Coordinator Assistant, giving the opportunity to work more hours. As this is a Bank role, you are able to pick up shifts flexibly to fit around your schedule - we are however, looking for people who can commit to Bank holidays, short notice shifts to cover sickness and last minute cancellations. Within this job you'll be responsible for: • Managing call volumes within triage pool and home visits to ensure we’re meeting out targets. • Overseeing the whole service and providing direction/distribution of workload and support. • Managing and directing the Coordinator Assistants to provide adequate support. • Completing the Coordinator’s log, reporting any problems, escalation, concerns or absence/lateness on shift.

The Requirements

• Have excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills • Have previous experience within an administrative role • Have good IT skills and an understanding of data protection • Have sound knowledge and understanding of IT and Microsoft Office. • An understanding of the OOH national standard targets would be advantageous.

We have bank positions available as both Coordinator & Coordinator Assistant, where you have the flexibility to choose when you work.

We are open from 18.30 – 08.00 Monday – Friday and 08.00 – 08.00 (24 hours) over the weekends and Bank Holidays so you will be required to work between these times.

The variances for both roles are as follows:

• £10.49 - £14.90 (Coordinator) & £8.46 - £12.68 (Coordinator assistant) per hour dependent of shift worked.
