At Sheffield Health and Social Care, we want to ensure our service users, carers and others who have a concern or complaint receive the best possible experience. Complaints and concerns are a vital tool in helping us to learn and improve, and we are looking for a Complaints and Claims Manager who is ready to lead a service that equips us to do just that.
You will be organised and disciplined to ensure we adhere to timescales and regulations so that those who come to us with concerns are not left waiting for a response. You will be empathetic, understanding and people-focused, so you able to see issues from the perspective of the person who has raised them and cope with the emotional challenges. You will also be skilled at dealing with the challenges that arise from leading a changing service.
Experience working in a busy Complaints office is essential, and day-to-day involvement in one or more of the other disciplines you will be managing is desirable. These include claims, FOIs and SARs, and Access to Records.
As an organisation, we are going through a significant improvement programme as we seek to get ‘Back to Good’ following a disappointing CQC inspection earlier this year. We are looking for someone with the dynamism and drive to be part of that journey, and with the values and determination to deliver a great experience for our service users and carers.
