Band 7 Chief Cardiac physiologist


Due to the expansion and increased demand of Cardiology diagnostics at the Princess Alexandra Hospital we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Chief cardiac physiologist with ambition to further their knowledge and experience.

We are a dynamic and inter professional cardiology team, offering a wide range of services across the cardiac spectrum to our local community. We aim to deliver an excellent standard of patient focused care in line with NICE guidelines, National Service Frameworks and evidence based practice.

The Cardiac Assessment unit is a well established service providing a full range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations, including a busy echo service (TOE, LVO, Exercise echo and DSE) and a well developed pacing service. We have expanded our current level of service to include complex implantable device follow –up (ICD and biventricular devices) and are further developing the specialized echo services.

Applicants will have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent and at least 2 years post graduate experience in Echocardiography.
•BSE qualifications essential (or equivalent).

Full clinical assessment will be carried out at interview.

To be successful in this post you will be capable of providing an excellent level of clinical competence and knowledge in Echocardiography and be able to work and report independently. The post holder should also be highly team focused, a positive role model and possess good communication, organisational and assertiveness skills
