Are you an experienced band 5 Occupational Therapist or already a band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge?

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Band 6 Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting time to join the dynamic and innovative therapy team following realignment of services. The role of the Occupational Therapist is to undertake specific Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions and to facilitate discharge.

Training & Support will be provided by experienced Therapists already working in each speciality field with the focus on developing the skills of the successful candidate to work across a wide range of areas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, innovative Occupational Therapist who is interested in expanding their knowledge and skills. You will need good clinical skills, a flexible approach; including excellent team working, organisational and time management skills.

You will work within a team of Therapists who specialise in the management acutely unwell patients and rehabilitation of patients recovering from critical illness, working closely with other members of the multi-professional team. As part of your role you will be required to support and supervise the Band 5 Occupational Therapists, therapy support workers and students within the team, as well as contributing to service development initiatives

You will join our dynamic team of Therapists who strive towards holistic recovery and regaining independence following surgery or illness within this teaching Trust. We are committed to continued professional and career development of all staff.

Applicants must be prepared to participate in the 7 day working rota.
