What are the duties involved?
As an experienced Community Nurse, you will already be familiar with the many duties you may be required to perform, including giving injections and insulins, cleaning and changing wound dressings, assisting with examinations, catheterisation and setting up IVs.
What skills do you need?
As you'll be working in various locations around the local community, you'll need to be highly organised and willing to travel to each patient. You must be able to stay calm and collected under pressure, especially when dealing with challenging situations and have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
You'll have the ability to demonstrate compassion and sensitivity towards your patients, providing a friendly, approachable and positive attitude.
A district nursing qualification is desirable, along with 1 year's experience within a community nursing role in the UK.
- You must be a fully qualified nurse, registered with the NMC
- A full UK driving licence is required
- You must have access to your own vehicle
