This employer is an international, award winning market leader who offer their products through a variety of mediums and platforms such as mobile and web. Due to continued success the company are now looking to grow the team in the Bristol office. They are now looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with PHP, Java, Python, Perl or Ruby skills to join them in building first class digital products. This company develop software using Clojure and Scala so successful applicants will be given full cross training in either or both of these functional programming languages.
Applicants will have solid experience of developing web-based software solutions using any of the following: PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python and/or Java and will have specific experience of developing scalable and secure solutions. As this company develops using functional software development languages applicants must be able to show some interest in or experience of using a functional language such as Scala, Clojure, Go, Haskell and/or Erlang.....this could be in a spare time project, during a hackday, in education or as a small part of your professional employment. Applicants should also have experience of REST and ideally exposure to continuous integration and/or continuous delivery.
