Back-End Developer

An exciting, full-service creative agency are looking for a Back-End Developer, who are continuing to expand their digital services offerings for clients and internal projects. You will be working within a vibrant team, in high-spec offices, in the centre of Exeter.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain websites, APIs and the core platforms used by these sites, using your PHP knowledge to improve my client’s range of products.

Working well and being comfortable within a cross-functional team.

The ability to work independently (when needed) and efficiently, in order to meet deadlines.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Able to work on multiple projects.

Your skills and experience should include:

  • Server setup and management/maintenance skills.
  • Previous experience of e-commerce systems, using REST based services and OOP.
  • PHP, MySQL.
  • JSON, XML.
  • JavaScript.
  • Git, VCS.
  • Linux, Apache.
  • A second language would be advantageous but is not essential.

Desirable knowledge of the follow:

  • Symfony2, Twig, Doctrine, YAML
  • AngularJS
  • SOAP, OAuth, HMAC, TDD
  • Bootstrap
  • JavaScript.
  • Git, VCS.
  • Linux, Apache
