Junior Baby/Kidswear Designer

Cream Soda Recruitment are seeking an experienced Junior Baby / Childrens wear Designer for a lovely, well established clothing / textiles Manufacturer in Bury.

This role will be idea for a candidate who has studied childrenswear and kidswear design, and has gained a minimum of a month within the industry. The ideal candidate will want to learn as much as possible, who will be of a creative and open mind and who will be extremely self-driven. As our client are a textiles and fashion manufacturer, they would expect the candidate has knowledge of this type of environment and will thrive within in.

Junior Baby/Kidswear Designer - Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Participating in various design projects from concept to completion
  • Producing drafts, prototypes and engaging design solutions
  • Listening to feedback and using this a means to develop your skill-set
  • Produce final design solutions (e.g. prints, interfaces, packaging)
  • Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects
  • Collaborate with merchandising to launch designs
  • Take on special design tasks to support multiple projects

Junior Baby/Kidswear Designer - Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Design degree or related field
  • At least one month’s experience within a Kidswear or Childrenswear Design environment
  • Experience with design software (e.g. InVision) and graphics editing tools (e.g. Photoshop, CorelDRAW)
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Teamwork skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • A willingness to learn, develop and grow with an experienced design team
