Primary Objectives

To support our ambitious growth plans, Sparta Global is looking to hire a BA Trainer in our Training function.Key to our success and responsible for the training of our Junior Consultants in technical, business and life skills are the Academy team. The function is headed by the Training Manager and comprised of a dedicated team of Trainer Leads, Trainers and Junior Trainers.

As a Trainer, you work closely alongside your colleagues in the Academy and the Trainees in your training room (currently remotely). You will be responsible for teaching a group of Trainees how to do the job of BA in the Capital Market space. You’ll work with the same group for a period of 2-3 months, supporting them through the technical boot camp, promoting their learning of new skills in tech, and developing the key professional competencies that will ensure they succeed as Sparta Consultant’s.

Roles & Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the BA Trainers are:

  1. Training upcoming Consultants in the required technologies and behaviours and to a high standard.
  2. Creation of new content when needed for new courses and modules.
  3. Making updates and fixes to the curriculums under the direction of the Training Leadership team.
  4. Adopting a proactive and progressive approach to learning new technologies and sharing your learnings with your colleagues.
  5. Ensuring the delivery of technical projects for both internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Onboarding and teaching new members of the Training team.
  7. Managing trainers; assessing and supporting the delivery of their work.
  8. Supporting the Head of Training with the hiring of new trainers; reviewing tech tests and participating in the interview process where required.
  9. Adopting a proactive and progressive approach to learning new technologies and sharing your learnings with your colleagues.
  10. Coaching and leading on the people development efforts at the Academy.
  11. Ensuring the delivery of technical projects for both internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Ability to deliver multiple streams of training to meet the demands of the business.
  13. Staffing and scheduling of training courses.
  14. Delivering quality across training.
  15. Providing quality experience to the trainees across the team.
  16. Pre-sales technical support.

Required Experience

The candidate would be required to have following experience/ system knowledge:

  1. People and Project Management experience.
  2. Strong experience in Front Office or Middle Office as a Business Analyst.
  3. Full understanding of the Trade Lifecycle and different trade types.
  4. Good understanding of all asset classes including Equities, Derivatives Fixed Income and FX.
  5. Good understanding of different Financial products.
  6. Understanding of AML, KYC, Security Operations and Financial Crime.
  7. Good understanding of Global frameworks (Basel 2/3, MiFID 2+, EMIR, Dodd Frank etc), regulations and regulation bodies.
  8. Excellent SQL knowledge.

  5. Feedback from your trainees and colleagues both within the Academy and wider Sparta team.
  6. Demonstration of Sparta values in your day-to-day performance and conduct.
