'The Opportunity’ & The Company
The role at hand is for Business Development Executive to join an extremely exciting company in the events and exhibitions market. Running events worldwide in a variety of sectors, the company were founded in 1990 and currently turnover just under £140M. Although global - they have offices in the US, Asia, Africa and multiple in Europe - the opportunity available is to join the buzzy and lively London office. The right candidate would be joining a relatively established part of the business, but would be 1 of 4 new employees starting on a new project for a leading fashion trade show - so the opportunity to be an important part of a small team and have very direct training from the Event Director, but still being part of a larger organisation.
What would be expected...?
As a Business Development Executive you would be tasked with generating new leads for potential fashion brands and designers to show case their work. In addition, you would be drumming up interest from retailers to come down to the trade show in order to purchase from the designers. The trade show falls within London Fashion Week and therefore is the perfect opportunity to get the very best from the fashion world down there and have exposure to them!

Type of candidate wanted...
- Someone with 12-24 months B2B Sales experience, preferrably in Business Development.
- Hungry for success.
- High energy and willing to work within a target orientated environment.
- 'Emotionally intelligent’ and 'switched-on’ - not necessarily demonstrated by a degree-level education, but someone who can pick things up quickly. Degrees, nevertheless, are desirable.
- Able to use initiative but also have the ability to take on guidance and instruction too.
What it offers you?
- £30-40K basic salary DOE.
- Upto 50% of commission on basic salary and earnings.
- Direct training from an experienced Event Director.
- Ability to progress from BDE to Event Director or Senior Sales within 18-24 months.
