Are you an ambitious B2B PR Account Manager or Senior Account Manager looking for your next move and a new challenge? My client is an award winning Leeds based integrated marketing agency that is looking to appoint a new PR Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to work across a mix of B2B energy, manufacturing, education, marketing, clients.

The role encompasses both digital and traditional PR, including content creation across diverse channels from SEO-blogging to social media. Working on regional and national projects, you’ll engage with established B2B businesses spanning various sectors, manufacturing, energy, sports marketing, professional services, built environment and retail.

You will be required to manage a varied portfolio of accounts effectively, develop engaging newsworthy content, build relationships with journalists to secure coverage for that content, co-ordinate campaigns, produce high quality, compelling copy, explore routes to market and do everything necessary to drive recognition and engagement.

You’ll need a clear understanding of what gets people talking and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of multiple creative techniques to achieve this.

They are looking for someone comfortable with both strategy and delivery who will be a key point of contact for our clients, requiring a commercial mindset to spot opportunities and develop accounts.

Key skills and qualities

You should have a minimum of 3 years’ PR agency experience and be able to:

  • drive PR strategies and build relationships with the media
  • have strong copywriting skills to craft high quality, compelling content on often technical and complex subject areas
  • secure significant and regular media coverage (print, radio, TV and online)
  • draft successful national industry award nominations
  • deliver end-to-end social media campaign management from initial research and quoting through to on-going campaign management, optimisation against KPIs and reporting
  • plan out monthly social media activity and content calendars and create, curate and manage proactive social media content
  • develop and plan influencer campaigns
  • be proactive and brimming with creative ideas
  • apply expertise in leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance communication strategies, drive media engagement, and optimise campaign effectiveness
  • demonstrate a clear passion and knowledge about PR
  • possess proven account management skills, be an excellent communicator and able to organise and recall information about a portfolio of clients with strong commercial awareness
  • be reliable and punctual and have great attention to detail with a zero-tolerance benchmark
  • have plenty of drive and enthusiasm to hit the ground running; happy to work on your own and as part of a small team
  • multi-task, work under pressure to tight deadlines and be used to working in a dynamic, energetic, client focused environment sometimes to tight deadlines
