AWS Software Engineer (Lambda, Python, Node)

Location: London, Central.

Rate: £500 - £550 Per Day; some flex.

Duration: 6 months initial; potential for 1 year & on-going.

Start: March 11th project kick-off.

AWS experienced Software Engineer required for a potentially long-term contract on a new application & development environment build in London.

We are approaching this as AWS Serverless - so experience in this is pretty much required, along with the AWS Lambda service & associated coding in Python, Java or Node.

This will be an AWS focused project so proven experience in developing within large scale AWS systems is key.  You will be expected to provide advice and solutions using various AWS products.

The role will initially be a 6-month contract to pivot a major data provider to a digital first data driven company using modern, cloud-based solutions to generate content and products for B2B and B2C.

You'll be working alongside a very experienced & passionate technical team in an excellent office environment (Very NON-Corporate)

Experience and skills that are mostly a must: 

 - AWS Lambda & Serverless Architectures
 - Docker
 - Java | Python | Node
 - Messaging platforms (Kinesis or Kafka for example)

Beneficial experience:

 - Big Data analytics & methods
 - Good understanding of Microservices & distributed architectures.

Any experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required (& you will get exposure to these):

 - Gitlab & Gitlab-CI, AWS ECS (Or K8s), AWS Elasticache, AWS DynamoDB, AWS ElasticSearch Service, AWS Athena, AWS QuickSight, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, AWS Sagemaker.
