Are you a Junior to Mid-level AWS Platform Engineer with strong knowledge of AWS cloud fundamentals?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a successful European bank and payments company that has recently expanded into the UK market.

Technology Stack: AWS, VPC, Subnets, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, Terraform.

Responsibilities:As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the Platform Engineering team responsible for building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports the entire organisation. You will be designing and building resilient and highly scalable and highly secure cloud infrastructure, automating infrastructure provisioning and management, troubleshooting technical issues, identifying performance improvements, building pipelines, creating Golden Images for EC2 instances, managing audit logs, networks, firewalls, and security groups within AWS using Terraform.

To be considered:

You will need to be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of AWS cloud fundamentals including VPC, Subnets, EC2, IAM, Security Groups etc.

Any AWS Certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect, would be advantageous but is not essential. You will need experience with Terraform to spin up environments. You must be prepared to get your hands dirty and take ownership of issues and troubleshooting. Although they are a multi-billion Euro organisation across Europe, in the UK they are still a scaleup business so need a flexible approach, you won’t just be running pipelines but will get involved in a wide range of Platform Engineering tasks.

Location: Hybrid - Central Manchester 3 days / 2 days remote - more flexibility possible after 6-12months.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + good benefits and great training and progression opportunities
