The Aviation Analyst role within Safety Compliance and AOC, as a direct report to the Safety Analytics Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day analysis of aviation data from across the airline as part of the integrated safety management system. Data from the airline directorates in such areas as aviation safety, security risk, fatigue management, training data and operational safety survey will be used by the Aviation Analyst to provide generic and individual trend data in support of identified hazards and occurrences that could impact the overall safety or business performance of the airline. The Aviation Analyst will be responsible to the Safety Analytics Manager for ensuring the timely creation and delivery of trend data packs to the relevant airline directorate as part of their safety action group activity. As analytical specialists the Aviation Analyst will be expected to support airline projects and initiatives as required through the production of data derived evidence.
What you will be doing
As an Aviation Analyst you will be responsible for the daily administration and maintenance of the Aerobytes and AQD systems including the creation and publication of reports to the appropriate departments. As well as identifying and processing any isolated or significant safety incidents or occurrences, you will measure, monitor and analyse safety occurrence data collected through the safety report process and flight data monitoring programme. Key responsibilities will include producing trend and other reports to the airline directorates or Group functions relating to all types of data including safety, TPMS and LOQE data. The Aviation Analysts are responsible for the integrity and maintenance of the airline’s safety reporting database through accurate data entry, detailed root cause analysis, incisive trend analysis and appropriate communication strategies. You will be required to contribute to the coordination and publication of feedback information to TUI UK & I employee groups and produce company safety communications in line with the company’s Safety Management System. Attendance at internal and external meetings as a company representative may also be required in support of the airline’s safety management system. Responsibility for delivering specialist software training and support as well as safety management system training to TUI UK & I personnel will also be expected.
The Aviation Analyst will ensure that flight data monitoring returns are maximised through early identification of hardware failure, on the aircraft or on the ground, and coordinate the appropriate actions to resolve the issue in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for contacting flight crew for air safety report submission resulting from flight data monitoring triggered events in accordance with EASA regulations and the UK CAP 382 – Mandatory Occurrence Reporting Scheme. As part of the TUI Group, the Aviation Analyst will provide flight data monitoring analysis of TUI group and non TUI group airline data as required.
You will also be expected to provide support to the Fatigue Risk function in data collation, AQD data entry and analysis. Your participation and support with projects within Flight Operations or the wider airline will be needed as required. You will also understand, embrace and work towards the Safety, Compliance and AOC departments' goals and objectives in line with the wider Flight Operations and Airline goals and objectives.
