Automotive Sales Trainer - Toyota Training Academy

Working on behalf of a leading performance consultancy you will be based at the Toyota Academy, Burgh Heath, Epsom and join a team of trainers responsible for delivering across a broad curriculum of non-technical training to the Toyota and Lexus network, both at Burgh Heath and the Toyota Academy based at Burnaston, Derby. Willingness to travel and stay overnight is therefore a requirement of the role.
The successful candidate will report to the Training Team Leader and will be expected to deliver a diverse range of courses to non-managerial staff working in both the Sales and After-Sales side of the business. In addition, you will need to have skills in training design and knowledge of learning methodology as this role will involve updating content of existing courses as well as designing new materials.
The successful person will have a strong background of delivery, preferably within the automotive industry. Previous experience in delivering soft skills and a background in sales is essential.
The Toyota Curriculum is currently under review and the role will require someone who can work collaboratively within a team in an events style format for some of the programmes. A facilitative, rather than instructor lead, delivery style is therefore required which engages, motivate and develops people.
A thorough Train the Trainer process will ensure that the successful applicant is able to quickly get to grips with the content of the courses and development provided to enable these to be embedded over a period of time. On average, you will be expected to deliver a broad suite of programmes, 3- 4 days a week with 1 day a week allocated for administration/ occasional meetings. When not required to attend meetings, trainers are able to work from home on their administration day.
The position is initially offered on the basis of a 1 year fixed term contract. The role comes with a competitive salary and a car, free on-site parking, subsidised restaurant and gym.
