ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for the compilation of drawings for design/detailing special purpose machines to specific requirements (customer specification and/or User requirement Specification)

You will provide innovative and bespoke solutions through fully understand the customer's requirements and to ensure that the drawings produced achieves the project aims.

To accomplish this, you will liaise with the production team for project completion.

You will be a point of contact when project stall or are not achieving specification as planned.

You will have a good level of product knowledge and design application.

You will ensure clients are treated in a professional, yet friendly manner and are accountable for all work undertaken as directed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main aim is to assist in the design/detailing of special purpose machines to comply with CE regulations and product specific requirements. On occasions and when available to include customer specification and/or User requirement Specification.

Application of the companies CAD design data system.

Maintain professional standards of appearance, manner, discipline and work to ensure that all drawings produced are accurate and completed to schedule.

To work to high standards adhering to the protocols and procedures ensuring that the control of drawings complies with the customer and organisations standards.

To ensure that good levels of communication are kept with colleagues and directors to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to customer satisfaction.

To participate in meetings as directed and add value with suggestions and ideas.

Ensure that work is carried out in a safe and reasonable manner in cooperation with other colleagues maintaining good working relationships.

Compliance with Company Health and Safety procedures.

To ensure that all working drawings meet the specifications set by the Company.

To modify and update existing drawings when required to and to agreed schedules.

To ensure that all specifications for procured parts are accurate and available for the purchasing.

To provide technical advice and support to customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Generating purchase requisitions for all bought out equipment relating to the Automation Systems.

Generating Project Schedules at beginning of Project Life Cycle.

Reviewing of Project schedules to identify resource issues both positive and negative.

To liaise with other departments to identify requirements and produce designs, components to specifications/schedules, input technical knowledge.

To personally liaise with any key clients as directed including site visits to input technical knowledge in to potential new applications.

Lead the onsite commissioning team providing the point of contact for the customer.

To identify opportunities to reduce costs in the design, materials used and manufacturing techniques.

Assisting in the generation of systems manuals.

Assisting wherever required eliminating waste, inefficiency, and identifying areas to add value.

To contribute in a positive manner to the working environment and success of the company.

You may also be required to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required of you that are within your capabilities.

Continuous improvement process to assist the company management team with driving through improvements/cost saving ideas.



ESSENTIAL

To hold the necessary qualifications

A good level of product and industry knowledge

Articulate and able to communicate with colleagues, customers and suppliers

A good level of client relationship skills, experience in working in a client focused environment

High customer driven ethic
