Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant Roles - Bristol

Posted 27 January by ASQ Education

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with Autism qualifications and/or previous experience working with autistic pupils.

There are a number of job opportunities for Teaching Assistants to carry out this type of support at a dedicated specialist. You will be supporting children with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a 1:1 basis, assisting with classwork, behaviour management and helping pupils with their daily routine.

We are currently working with various mainstream schools with a specialist Autism unit. They are looking to work with experienced teaching assistants who can contribute to support programmes for autistic students in school. You will need to have expert knowledge on autism support and be able to lead interventions for individual pupils. You will need to have experience working with children aged 5-16, and be able to build a good rapport with children.

Interested applicants will need to attend an interview at ASQ Education. We are also advertising jobs for Teaching Assistants with similar qualifications/experience in supporting pupils with Discalculia and Dyslexia.

If you are an enthusiastic, flexible teaching assistant and looking for an interesting assignment in a Bristol school, please do get in touch as soon as possible as schools are interviewing now.
