Autism ASD SEN LSA in Norwich

Prospero Teaching are looking for Learning Support Assistants with experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviour. If you are looking for work in the Norwich area and would like to make a positive difference to children's lives then we would love to hear from you.

About the school and contract:

*We are looking for LSA's to work in a special school with children with Autism and
challenging behaviour.
*A specialist provision with lots of outdoor space.
*This is initially a long term supply role but could lead to something longer term
for the right candidate. They are looking for somebody to start ASAP.
*In addition to supporting students academically you will be required to support them
in lots of outdoor activities.
*Children at the school are aged between 6-19 years old.

About the successful SEMH LSA:

*Previous LSA experience, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this in not
essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
*Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
*A passion for working with children with Autism and SEMH.
*Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class and outdoor
activities.

To be eligible the SEMH LSA must have/be:

*Previous classroom experience.
*Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
*A positive attitude and desire towards working with SEN students.
*Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
*The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
*Excellent communication skills - the school encourages good communication with
Parents/Carers.
