Are you currently at AAT level 4 (or a recently qualified AAT) with between one and three years experience in a good quality accountancy firm and looking to upgrade to an independent practice firm based in a prime location in Londons West End? Are you looking to carry out a role mixed roughly 40% audit and 60% accounts preparation and tax? If so this growing practice based in Central London is looking for a good quality candidate to join their growing audit and advisory department. Your role will include being the main audit junior / trainee in the office and going on most of the firms audit assignments. The remainder of your time will be spent preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for clients. You will also gain exposure to ad hoc projects from time to time. Your role will be varied, challenging, yet hugely enjoyable. You will work in a very supportive and friendly team.
To be considered for this new position you must be either studying AAT level 4 and almost be fully AAT qualified, or have recently finished your AAT and looking to start the ACCA. You must currently be working for a UK based practice firm and it is likely you will have around 1 - 3 years of experience in a practice environment. Your current role must be at least 20% audit based, although ideally it will be 40% audit based. You must have experience carrying out the fieldwork stage of an audit, as well as preparing statutory accounts and tax returns. You must be looking to work on a varied client portfolio, with a bias towards media, film, TV and entertainment type clients, although you will gain exposure to other sectors such as property, technology and digital media. You must also possess strong communication skills, be professional and be smart in appearance, since the role involves regular contact with high profile clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages is desirable, experience of Xero would be a bonus.
