Your new company in North West London provides pro-active and commercially innovative accounting, advisory and taxation advice to clients ranging from high net worth individuals to sole traders, family-owned businesses and medium & large UK & overseas companies. The firms audit portfolio is interesting and varied with clients operating in many industry sectors.
It has a separate corporate finance team and outsourcing department with extensive experience in handling official list (standard segment), AIM & NEX market transactions and servicing the accounting needs of head offices around the globe.
You will be working in a dynamic practice which is experiencing significant growth and would suit ambitious individuals looking to further their career.
Your new role
You will be an Audit Senior who will be Audit focused (Audit 70%, Accounts prep/tax 30%). You will be required to plan and lead audits and be responsible for a team usually at a clients' premises. You will ensure that audit files are completed and carefully prepared and delivered to the audit manager. You will also be required to assist in the preparation of statutory accounts from client trial balance of incomplete records, where necessary and preparation of the first draft of the corporation tax computation. You will be required to keep up to date with auditing, accounting and general taxation issues. You will resolve technical issues as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACCA / ACA qualified with a strong degree. Excellent finalist level candidates may be considered. You will have be trained, ideally from a top 20 practice but exceptional independents will also be considered. You will have a good exam record. You will have good communication & team skills, technical skills, professionalism and client focus, adaptability, initiative and be open to change.
You may be required to undertake Isometric, verbal & numeric reasoning tests which may be given to you in advance of a one stage interview.
