A leading firm of chartered accountants (Top 30) are looking for an experienced Audit-Semi Senior/Senior to join their growing audit department in the Cambridge.

  • The undertaking of audit assignments under remote supervision of a Manager
  • Assisting on larger audit assignments under the direct supervision of a Manager
  • To lead assignments of all sizes in the longer term


  • Client audit assignments: in house preparation and attendance at client premises
  • Other senior duties such as finalising accounts, drafting tax computations and management accounting
  • Full responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments
  • Undertaking assigned tasks on client premises to agreed plan
  • Control of own assignment time within pre-determined budget
  • Professional liaison with client and/or client's staff
  • Accounts finalisation, file completion and tax computations
  • Provide support and development to audit assistants


  • Minimum Part qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Previous practice experience, including audit competence to allow for successful candidate to lead assignments in due course
  • A good auditing background can be demonstrated
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills

Salary Package

  • £25,000-£40,000
  • Potential secondment opportunities
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (9.00am -5.30pm)
  • Six-month probationary period
