Audit and Accounts Supervisor to Manager
We are actively recruiting for an Audit and Accounts job opportunity available at Assistant Manager or Manager level, with an accountancy firm based in Leicester, including accounts preparation and advisory elements. The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason.
The opportunity, available from Supervisor up to Audit and Accounts Manager, dependent on your experience, is due to expansion and growth in the firm, so it is an exciting time to join the growing team. They are established and long-standing, but modern in systems and approach.
- Available at Assistant Manager or Manager grade, this role involves accountancy, audit and varied general practice work as detailed below.
The precise level of responsibility and salary will be dictated by your experience and qualification level and the role can also be tweaked to suit.
They work from pleasant and centrally located offices and offer work / life balance with highly competitive pay and benefits, parking on-site, flexible working terms (which depend on the successful candidates skills & experience).
This is a mixed role, described as follows;
- Audit supervision and fieldwork, can be circa 25% to 60%, dependent on your preference and technical background.
- Reviewing accounts for Sole traders, Partnerships and Limited companies and associated tax comps and CT600’s
- Submitting company accounts to Companies House and CT600’s to HMRC
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Maintaining firms WIP spreadsheet
- Maintaining firms Staff planner in conjunction with WIP spreadsheet mentioned above
- Sitting in and contributing to planning meetings with Directors and managers
OVERVIEW ON THE FIRM AND ROLE
All audit clients are within 45 minutes’ drive of the Leicester office.
Salary will be based on level of experience and the firm are happy to consider the full spectrum of experience and salary expectations, as within reason, the role can be crafted around the right person.
Support, training and CPD will be provided and it is important for the firm that a new hire has good communication skills with clients and staff. Support can be offered in areas that people have less experience with.
Working hours are flexible on start and finish times between two options; employees decide which suits them.
Open to discussing part time (pay and holiday entitlement to be pro-rata).
