Sounds Commercial Limited is looking for an Audio Visual Technician predominantly working in and around the Leicester area however, you will operate as part of a regional team that is based in Derby and the successful candidate will be required to support the Midlands Region as a whole, operating within Leicester, Birmingham, Derby and Sheffield as well additional support for UK events operating out of our Bristol Headoffice. . Support can also include assisting with the preparation, planning and production of large-scale live events and equipment hires.
You will have the possibility to learn new skills and expand your knowledge during your time at the regional office as you will be responsible for preparing, checking and loading equipment for events. You will also be asked to deliver and Set up AV Equipment for small hires, as well as operate at larger live events. On completion of an event, you will help de-rig and check equipment back into the warehouse. This can also involve testing, cleaning and maintaining equipment and your role will involve some administration tasks.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in AV and knowledge of audio, lighting and data equipment would be advantageous. This is not essential as training will be given.
The highest levels of customer service are expected at all times and you must be able to deal with pressurised situations in a calm and effective manner. You must be a hardworking individual; able to motivate yourself to work in an organised manner; and be well-presented and confident when communicating with others.
A current driving license is essential. This position involves unsociable hours which will include Saturdays, Sunday’s and Bank Holidays.
