Audio Typist / Secretary - Accountancy Firm

Are you an Audio Typist / Secretary keen to utilise your skills in a professional practice environment? Are you keen to work for a small to medium sized accountancy firm with around 40 staff, and carry out a variety of high profile assignments for the numerous partners in the office? Are you keen to carry out a role which will be roughly 85% audio typist duties and 15% secretary duties, but as you gain more experience carry out a role mixed evenly between the two? Are you keen to work in a friendly atmosphere, in a growing firm with a great work life balance? Your role will include transcribing letters and emails (e.g letters, file notes, emails, diary notes etc), working directly for the partners of the firm, covering reception and answer calls when reception is busy. You will also show clients into meetings and carry out ad hoc secretary work and typing assignments as required. You will also be responsible for raising invoices for clients and emailing / posting them the invoice (training will be provided if required). You will be required to liaise with clients over the phone, email and in person so you must be professional and well spoken.

To be considered for this new role you must have experience as an Audio Typist and / or Secretary, maybe you are in your first role and you are looking for a new challenge and more responsibility, or maybe you are an experienced Secretary / Typist and simply looking for your next challenge or you are a mum returning to work. You must have experience of the above duties and be able to work full time, Monday to Friday 930am to 530pm. Experience of working within a professional practice environment would be an advantage but not essential. Training on accounting terminology will be provided. It is likely you will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and be able to work to tight deadlines. You must be a team player, have very strong spelling, punctuation and grammar, be a good multi tasker, be able to work under pressure, have strong communication skills and be professional at all times. You must also have strong skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
