Salary/Grade: £DOE (Negotiable for right candidate)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) 37.5 hr week. (No Weekends)

DHL Inside Track are seeking a qualified Audi Master Technician to join their busy team in Alconbury Cambridgeshire.

As the Audi Master Technician, you will carry out complex repair work and vehicle diagnostics on all VWG/Audi or other OEMs vehicles, accurately, in a cost effective way and within the agreed timescale. You will carry out your work using best practice techniques, incorporating manufacturer approved repair methods and guidelines whilst keeping in line with health and safety requirements. As the Master Technician you will mentor and give guidance to technicians and support the workshop controller, covering when needed. From time to time there may also be an opportunity to support off-site events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all repairs are documented to meet with manufacturer and company policy and quality standards

  • To utilise all materials in accordance with the suppliers guidelines

  • To ensure repairs are carried out efficiently and with minimum cost of materials on a first time fix basis

  • To support other departments as instructed by line manager

  • To ensure work is completed within the agreed time

  • Have ownership of vehicle and take responsibility for any repairs undertaken

  • Capability of identifying complex repairs and completing

  • To be flexible on a day to day basis for actual duties required for the day

  • To ensure that all site Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to and practiced

  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment

  • Comply with appropriate working time legislation

  • To undergo any training required

  • To ensure all systems for recording time are adhered to on each repair

  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Controller or the Workshop Manager from time to time

  • To be able to work within the team and play a key role for completion of all vehicles

  • To have the ability to communicate with other team members and management


Key skills and experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in motor trade

  • Qualified Audi Master Technician

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and hit targets

  • Ability to diagnose and carry out complex repairs

  • Good communication skills

  • Good clear communication, verbally and written

  • Master technician accredited - Senior technician accredited with the ability to become a Master Tech in a short timeframe may be considered

  • Good education in core GCSE subjects

  • Valid full driving licence
