About the Role
Joining their Manchester auction centre, the Auction Assistant will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support services on both sale and non-sale days, ensuring the smooth running of sales and providing customer service excellence at all times.
You will deal with general enquiries both at the front counter and over the telephone, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner, escalating to the relevant Manager as appropriate. You will support the Auctioneer and rostrum set up on a sale day, ensuring the correct tools and paperwork are set up and ready for the sale, and support simulcast during the sale, providing accurate and timely updates as appropriate. The Auction Assistant will respond to police notices, parking fine and update the DVLA as appropriate and support with the completion of all private and trade vehicle entries, along with general office filing and administration.
This role requires a highly organised individual who has the ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines within a busy office environment. With experience of providing a high level of customer service, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to deal with difficult customers.
