We have an exciting opening within our Attraction and Engagement team for an individual who has knowledge and experience of Graduate and Apprenticeship Activity, either because you have firsthand experience or because you have been previously been involved in attracting and engaging young people generally 16 – 24 years.

Ideally you will have loads of energy and will enjoy a fast paced manufacturing environment. Reporting into the Head of Attraction and Engagement your enthusiasm, motivation and excellent communication skills will support you with driving our young people Attraction and Engagement agenda, across the business.

Your creative skills will assist you with helping to design our young people attraction campaigns and your methodical and highly organized approach will help you co-ordinate the vacancies and enhance the onboarding process. You will relish a varied and busy workload, whilst participating in projects, to deliver new initiatives aimed at being the envy of our young people talent pipe line.

In addition your social media skills will support you in growing our social media activity where we can maximize our networking opportunities. Your continual evaluation of our success and any missed opportunities, will ensure we continue to provide the most effective route to market.

You will also need to be a competent IT user with a full driving license and the flexibility to travel, staying away from home as required.

Other role responsibilities include:

Year on year, define and proactively promote to all Key stakeholders, the attraction window for young people
Ensure all young people Attraction activity is fully resourced (people, leaflets etc.), attending Career fairs where deemed necessary, with the support of other Attraction and Engagement Partners, as well as the wider HR Community and Young people Ambassadors
Working collaboratively with Learning & Development, Senior HR, Create Apprentice / Graduate role profiles and Career passports
Support with the on boarding activity of apprentices to ensure compliance and co-ordinate with earning and development regarding the system set up / induction
Utilise movement to work and other new initiatives designed to drive attraction of young people through apprenticeships particularly butchery
Proactively promote and engage with young people Ambassadors (Apprentice & Graduate)
Responsible for young people Attraction data capture. Sharing vacancy information, hiring information, gaps, costs, trends that will support on going decisions. Link the data to the Learning & Development data sheet that shows progression / retention of our young people.
Support with Diversity activity, proactively creating methods and processes that insures the inclusion of a diverse young people talent pipeline
Ensure young people attraction webpages are continually refreshed and up to date
Co-ordinate Apprentice Annual welcome event, Agreeing Agenda, organising attendees, giveaways, clothing, publicity and working alongside Learning and Development to identify workshop activity as well as reward and recognition activity (that will feed into yearly company Reward & Recognition program).
Promote National Awards across the wider business and proactively promote participation – link in with Learning and development to glean talent
