Attendance Officer Required for a Secondary School in Slough

At Engage Education Services, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Attendance Officer to work full-time at a fantastic secondary school in Slough.

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality office staff to work with these schools.

Our Engage Education Services team specialises in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities.

Working hours: 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Friday - 8.00am - 3.30pm, during term time only.

About the role:

  • To implement the Attendance Policy to promote outstanding attendance for all pupils.

  • To work closely with students, staff, parents and carers to reduce levels of absence.

  • To monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, analysing data to identify key areas of concern.

  • To work with the safeguarding and pastoral teams to support our students with pastoral concerns.

  • To liaise with Slough Borough Council Attendance/CME officer to tackle persistent absence

    The ideal applicant will have:

  • Experience of working with children and young people

  • Experience of working in a school

  • Experience and understanding a range of administrative tasks

  • Experience in managing and maintaining accurate records & filing systems

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience of school management information systems

  • Experience of using SIMS or relevant school database

  • Ability to analyse and produce reports in line with requirements

  • Ability to think independently and solve problems on own initiative

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to cope with conflicting demands, deadlines and interruptions
