Associate Highway Design Engineer vacancy in Birmingham

Our client, one of the UK's leading multi-disciplinary consultancies, are looking for Drainage Engineers to join their busy expanding office in Birmingham.

For this role you would be degree qualified and ideally chartered (not compulsory) and have significant post graduate experience in a similar role with a consultancy, developer or local planning authority. You would be involved with the work winning side and be comfortable with business development.

Within this role you would be responsible for the preparation of detailed design agreements (section 278) for priority junctions, traffic signal controlled junctions and roundabouts and major highway improvements. You would be involved in undertaking site visits, highway drainage design and calculations and pavement design and calculations.
You would prepare fee quotations and work specifications, negotiate with highways authorities to agree strategies, develop client relationships, client base and new work streams.
