Your new organisation is a bespoke, independent town planning consultancy in Central London engaging in a specific range of strategic projects including healthcare, care homes, residential schemes, office, leisure and retail and heritage advice amongst others. The projects are spread across London and the South West with a steady client base that allows to focus on planning application work as opposed to winning new business
Your new role
Your new role includes providing strategic planning and development advice to clients in addition processing applications for a range of residential and retail projects. You will be involved in section 106 negotiations and your role will include appraisals for planning and development schemes. You will be involved in appeals and inquiries as part of your role which will also include visiting client sites. Your role will involve managing staff to ensure successful outcomes on lower scale planning applications done by members of the team
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a chartered town planner with a proven track record of dealing with a range of major and complex planning applications. You will possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the statutory processes involved as well as experience in managing a team successfully. You will have experience within a private sector practice for 3-5 years and you will possess good IT skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
