An award winning, fantastic design studio is looking an Associate to manage and develop the residential sector
Your new company
A recent design award winner, this 40 strong practice based in contemporary offices and close to transport links has built a reputation for high quality design, creativity and innovative solutions. They have a solid pipeline of work for the foreseeable future, and operate a staffing-project policy that minimises the risk of redundancies and the chance for sector crossover. A destination practice, they work in Residential, Education, Commercial, Hospitality and Conservation sectors, and have both new build and refurb/extension projects.
Your new role
In this crucial and senior role in the practice, you will be responsible for the design, development, delivery and management of several large residential projects and teams in the office. You will be using your communication and leadership skills to inspire and motivate the teams to design excellence, along with your strong design and technical skill to manage and deliver projects on time and within budget.
You'll be the primary client liaison, reporting design progress to both them and the senior Directors in the practice, so experience of target setting and reporting would be beneficial.
You will also be responsible for the business development of the sector too, so you'll need a track record of bringing new work into a practice in order to grow your teams, helping progress your career further.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have recent UK business development experience, with demonstrable success of bringing new projects into the practice, especially in the residential sector. You'll be a charismatic, ambitious leader of people, with job running experience and a high quality design pedigree.
What you'll get in return
This is a unique opportunity to join one of the high profile design studios of Manchester, to work on award winning schemes with a friendly, sociable bunch of like-minded people. It is a prime chance for an ambitious person to really prove themselves, progress their career and make a real impact on the architectural scene.
You will receive a competitive salary, pension contribution and discretionary profit share bonus that is dependent on bringing work into the practice and overall successes.
