Salary - £27,000 and £29,500

FT Monday to Friday

The Assistant Warehouse Manager you will provide support to the Warehouse & Operations Manager and Warehouse team to ensure the smooth running of the operation and safe working practices within the fast paced and dynamic multi-product environment.

To assist in improving the performance, productivity, processes and profitability of business operations by delivering the strategy and expectations set out by the Warehouse & Operations Manager.

To assist the Warehouse & Operations Manager with the implementation and running of the new Third Party pallet storage Operation.

Responsibilities include:

OperationalManagement

Goods-in and Inventory

Picking andadministration

Packingand dispatch

Direct Dispatchorderfulfilment

Responsible for inventory management of stock.

Manage and control the warehouse functions to minimize costs and maximize efficiencies and productivity.

Stock Reporting

Responsibleforgivingaccurateinformationtothe inventory departmentwithregards to:

Stockusage

Receiptofstock

Storage(on/off site)

Issues/ Deliveryfailures.

TeamManagementandLeadership

Build, develop and maintain an effective warehouse management team through close monitoring, mentoring and clear communication.

Manage and develop direct reports. Setting SMART objectives where necessary and effectively dealing with any performance issues.

Lead by example to ensure all employees adhere to company policies, and partake informal procedures as and when required.

Responsiblefor overseeingtheeffective managementofthirdpartylabour (agencystaff) for the warehouse.

Starters to leavers

In conjunction with Warehouse & Operations Manager to identify vacancies within the warehouse.

To ensureall employeesarefullyinducted before undertakinganyduties.

To ensureall probationaryperiods aremanaged and dealtwith accordingly.

Training

Ensure all warehouse employees are fully trained to carry out their roles and that training records are kept up to date.

In conjunction with the Warehouse & Operations Manager identify training needs for the team.

Employee engagement/CSR

Support the implementation and maintenance of employee engagement initiatives.

Payroll

Ensure the payroll Rota is completed each week/month and all information is correct.

Review and manage payroll costs weekly.

Tocontrol andmonitorovertime costsas agreed.

Reporting and Monitoring

Accurately complete the KPI Control Centre (FCC)daily, identify low performance/anomalies in productivity or quality and act upon information in a timely manner.

Control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.

Facilities Management

Ensuring that all facilities requirements are met.

Security

To work effectively with security suppliers and ensure the business requirements and standards are upheld.

Health and Safety

Comply with and make positive contribution to all company policy, rules and procedures for Health & Safety.

Business Development

Recognising development opportunities and with the The Warehouse & Operations Manager help to develop them inline with business requirement.
