A vacancy has now arisen for an Assistant Underwriter to join a well-known insurance company within Gloucestershire due to growth.
The assistant underwriter’s role is to contribute to the achievement of business objectives by assisting Underwriters in the delivery of an efficient underwriting service to brokers and supporting the management of accounts.
Ideally the right candidate will have 2 years’ experience within the Insurance industry and a working knowledge of the different insurance underwriting policies and procedures that are required to verify and provide the relevant level of cover per product within agreed SLA’s. Making sure that the right level of risk, authority limits, rating factors and referral process is applied within the insurance policy and procedures guidelines ensuring that all customer needs and requirements are understood and met.

The role is varied and does involve working with both new and existing business across different areas of the business. It’s a great opportunity for someone to further their career within Insurance.
