You will accurately provide new business quotations for small to medium enterprises and individuals and negotiate the final price subject to the Insurance underwriting guidelines. Set up new business policies following the process of medical underwriting where applicable. Generate renewal terms with a view to retaining the policy but at a sustainable price for both the customer and the insurer and reacting to market feedback with revised terms where appropriate. General policy administration including cancellations, invoicing, general correspondence and telephone enquiries. The role, therefore, requires excellent communication and customer service skills at all times.
Position Overview: Underwriting Assistant
We are looking for someone who will be dedicated to a more customer services type role. This will include taking responsibility for written correspondence and telephone calls in relation to issues that pertain to the general administration of our existing policies. The ideal candidate will have a customer services background within the PMI (Private Medical Insurance) industry.
This is a very varied role and is all a team effort, so we are looking for a strong team player who is happy to help in any circumstance.
