Assistant Transport Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join our long established and growing Freight Logistics Company based at our Hemel Hempstead office.

Working on our Traffic desk you will be an integral part of our UK & European sub-contracting operation.

Key responsibilities/duties will include :

Liaising with our Company approved sub-contractors.

Planning and allocating consignments, ensuring all data on our TMS is created and processed accurately.

Providing excellent communications with customers, sub-contractors and colleagues.

Dealing with client queries efficiently.

General transport administration.

Key skills required :

Good geographical knowledge of the UK.

Excellent communication skills.

Computer literate.

Some knowledge of HGV's.

Excellent customer service skills.

Attention to detail.

Experience required for this role :

The successful applicant will have gained experience within the Haulage sector either on a Traffic desk or as a HGV driver.
