Assistant Support Coordinators

Are you looking for a new role within Social Care?

Our client is currently looking to recruit 2 part time Assistant Support Coordinator's to work within their housing services in Harlow, Epping & Brentwood so successful candidates must have a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Hours of work will be between 8am -10pm Monday - Sunday and you be required to work on average 1 in every 3 weekends.

Daily duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Make contact any benefit office's required for any queries or to make new appointments for service users. Sometimes you will need to take the service user to these appointment's also
  • Take and book medical appointments such as Dr's dentists, hospitals etc
  • Advise on rights for benefits including child tax credits etc
  • Refer any issues you feel necessary involving safeguarding
  • Monitor and refer behavioural issues if required
  • You will need to have an understanding of what other agencies that can help such as other housing and safeguarding companies and working closely with the Police
  • Cleaning duties when required and ensuring the shared houses are intact
  • Health & Safety checks - ensuring fire alarms work hot water & electricity is connected and working properly in all properties
  • Liasing with our clients maintenance department to ensure anything needing fixed is being dealt with in a timely manner such as broken doors, leaky taps, a room needs redecorating etc.

What skills do you need?

You will need to be very patient and have the best listening skills to listen to the service users. You will have previous experience of working with service users in either a local authority
You must be computer literate and happy to complete paperwork. Previous experience working with vulnerable young adults either within a housing, local authority or charity/volunteering setting.
