Bravissimo is a dynamic, entrepreneurial company which, since its launch in 1995, has grown to a 50m turnover business, with 28 stores and a well-established e-commerce operation. We offer a range of lingerie, clothing and swimwear to fit and flatter women who wear a D-L cup (28 to 40 back sizes). Whilst the business has grown, our purpose remains the same as it did in 1995, to inspire our customers to feel amazing about themselves. We set ourselves high standards and are constantly looking for ways to improve what we do to offer the best experience for our customers.
Our people are at the heart of our business and for the last 11 years, we have been one of the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for. A huge part of doing our best is offering choice! We want every customer to feel like a 'kid in a sweet shop’ and be excited about the styles available in their size. The Supply Planning team are key to making this sweet shop feeling a reality.
About the Job
We're building a new team and we're looking for a Junior Supply Planner or Assistant Supply Planner to join us.
Offering a wide range of choice to our customers may sound straightforward however we offer styles in 100 sizes via mail order, our website and across our 28 shops. One style in one colour can have over 2000 stock locations! This means there is mathematical skill in ordering the right quantities of sizes in each product to enable us to maximise choice for customers, regardless of where they choose to shop with us.
You’ll also need to read and interpret our sales data which is like complex puzzle. We can’t simply run a report to calculate stock requirements. You will need to read the story behind the numbers, and use your judgement to inform your decisions.
You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure that timescales on critical paths are achieved and deliveries into the warehouse are on time and evenly spread. You will also optimise stock allocation to ensure maximum choice for our customers, minimising stock movements and keeping any markdown stock to a manageable level.
An analytical mind and understanding of numbers will be crucial in this role. Interpreting the patterns that exist behind numbers will be a key skill you’ll need to enable you to make logical decisions. We would expect you to have at least an A grade in Maths A- Level or equivalent and you may also have a degree with a mathematical element. Evidence of the practical application of your analytical skills in previous positions would be helpful.
You will be the main contact for any queries from our stores or customer service team regarding stock, as well as being a key contact for our external suppliers, so great communication skills are really important. With great organisation skills, you should be passionate about never missing a deadline, and your customer focused approach means you work hard to deliver to both your internal and external customers.
Experience in a supply and demand role or similar would be helpful, but this is not essential. You may be from a completely different background. What is key is your ability to manipulate and really understand data, and you need to connect to our purpose and have an agility and passion for learning quickly.
To be considered for this position, please submit your CV as well as a full cover letter detailing why you would like this position and why you would like to work for Bravissimo, as well as your current salary and notice period. The address to submit this to is below.
