Jewson Major Build Solutions in DURHAM is now recruiting for an Assistant Site Operations Manager .

Location:

60 Damson Way, Dragonville Industrial Estate, Durham, DH1 2YN

HOURS OF WORK
Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm

What will I be doing?
Our Assistant Site Operations Managers are an important contributor to the teams shared success and an essential part of our Customers positive experience with us.

  • Managing team of 10 Warehouse Operatives and 11 Drivers
  • Producing monthly reports
  • Achieve Safety and Wellbeing culture and targets

  • Embed Stark principles of Decency, Pride and Passion into working environment and behavioural standards

  • Identify individual and team training needs

  • Create a performance culture and high colleague engagement

  • Communicate Company plans, goals and individual objectives.

  • Support the team with day-to-day queries

  • Act as first line support to Site Operations Manager

  • Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers
  • Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
  • Work as a direct support the Site Operations Manager team and act as a keyholder when needed
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
  • Participate in stock management process

  • Ensure delivery of customer orders is optimised to achieve the highest level of return on sales vs cost Safeguard Company's stock, money and all other Company assets

  • Manage conflict, be passionate about Customer Service and EHS

  • Constructively challenge, delegate effectively and have vision to improve

  • Create and maintain positive relationships with the team

  • Empower each team member to reach high level performance

Preferred background:

  • Warehouse Management experience of up to 20 staff
  • Full driving licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • Backgound working with building materials is desirable
  • First class leadership ability
