Assistant Retail Manager (Charity Shop) 

Founded in 1991, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) provides care for children who have life-limiting conditions, which means they are likely to die in childhood. 

Our belief is that the best way we can do this is to wrap our care around families who have received this 
unspeakable diagnosis. 

We journey with all family members from the point of diagnosis until the death of their child and into bereavement for as long as the family need us. 

Position: Shop Manager's Assistant 
Location: Bristol (Zetland Road, Redland) 
Job type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 16 hours per week (This role will involve working on weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis) 
Salary: Starting salary from £7.84

About the role: 

We are seeking an organised, driven and hands on team member to help run our busy charity retail shop in Southville, Bristol. Working closely with the shop manager and a team of volunteers, you will support the running of the shop in order to maximise profits and generate stock to help us raise valuable funds. If you are someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, loves visual merchandising and has a passion for great customer service - this may be the job for you! 

Assisting the manger with maximising sales and profits, achieving targets set, delivering high standards through the effective management of volunteers. Will have shared line management responsibility for all the shop staff.

About you: 

The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills and will be numerically literate. They should have previous retail experience with experience of Cash handling and Banking. Good organisational skills are important for this role and is a friendly, approachable manner. 

If you have previous experience in Merchandising that would be beneficial as would customer care training / qualification. A Current UK driving license would also be desirable.
