Assistant Relationship Manager Business Banking - Manchester

Our client is an International Bank is looking to hire an Assistant Relationship Manager in Business Banking to join their team In Manchester;

Job Purpose

  1. Acquire new customers
  2. Consolidate and grow the payments and remittance business from the business account holders
  3. Manage the existing client relationships and activate the inactive/dormant customers
  4. Generate referrals for cross-selling of Loan against property and other Business Banking products
  5. Assist in designing, reviewing and enhancing policies to support the business strategies

Core Responsibility:

  1. Acquire good quality Business Banking Customers
  2. Strengthening the existing client relationships
  3. Build a tactical plan to achieve budgeted objectives of new customer acquisition, enhance relationship value and achieve fee income objective
  4. Understand and comply with the Banks policies and procedures, especially, Conduct risk, customer profiling, risk assessment, know your customer, anti-money laundering policies and procedures of the Bank

Area of Responsibility:

  1. Acquire good quality Business Banking Customers
  2. Strengthening the existing client relationships
  3. Enhancing business volumes in accordance with budgets
  4. Consolidate and grow the market share of the Bank
  5. Understand and comply with conduct risk policy and requirements of the Bank
  6. Understand and comply with the customer profiling, risk assessment, know your customer, anti-money laundering policies and procedures of the Bank
  7. To exhibit high levels of customer service and sound understanding of business banking transactions
  8. Engage and interact with internal stakeholders across different departments
  9. To undertake projects and assignment from time to time as required by the Bank
  10. Facilitate competitor, market and customer intelligence to various Bank's stakeholders
  11. Liaise with the internal stakeholders, introducers, and existing customers to originate referrals for new customer acquisition
  12. Manage existing customer relationships to cross sell / up sell business banking products generating fee and interest income
  13. Use effective marketing and sales promotional tools for raising the bank's profile in the target segment, which ultimately results in opening new business opportunities for the bank
  14. Active participation in community events, industry forums to generate new business opportunities
  15. Regular monitoring of accounts, timely flagging & communicating with clients or operations or compliance as required

Key Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Sound understanding and prior experience of managing SME and/or Business clients
  2. Selling, Negotiating, Networking and Relationship Management skills.
  3. Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  4. A disciplined approach to documentation, deal execution, and client follow up.
  5. Self-motivated and self-driven
  6. Good interpersonal skills and team player
  7. Ability to sense and scan external environment to assess the threats and opportunities
