As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining one of the Midlands fastest growing privately owned Contractors that work on an array of commercial projects, such as the new build and refurbishment of schools, hospitals and care homes. Over the last 100+ years they have built a strong reputation for delivering complex projects to clients in an efficient manner, and to the highest standards. Operating predominantly in the Commercial sector, they have accrued an in-depth knowledge of the industry and have built a strong pool of employees and local/regional contacts that have contributed to their consistent success.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels, including senior management and sub - contractors. Working alongside the Quantity Surveyor you must be proactive and forward thinking, and will be expected to assist in producing bills and quantities, estimations and work on pre and post tender projects.
- A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- High attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry.
- A willingness to learn and progress.
