Assistant Product Data Manager (Fixed Term Contract to April 18)

These are exciting times for Howdens as we embarked on the next stage of our continued success and growth.

As the Assistant Product Data Manager you will be responsible for the deployment of a new digital platform on which our digital strategy can be delivered. Your role is support the Product Data Manager to ensure that all product data, copy and assets required for the internal and customer facing websites are captured accurately for all digital channels.

Based in our Northampton offices you will be working with the Digital Project Team and wider business.

Responsibilities in brief

  • Support current test / pilot digital projects as well as any required business as usual initiatives and product / future phase enhancements.
  • Support product data modelling and gap analysis undertaking to inform data / attribute changes / enhancements / requirements for integration with existing and future systems.
  • Satisfy immediate and longer term product data work stream requirements to deliver programme objectives and longer term, future phase requirements.
  • Assist with data and research initiatives to support the Product and Data lead, on and off-line Marketing teams to:
    • Review and monitor digital trends / best practice to ensure (where possible) these are incorporated into the programme.
    • Deliver best in class user experience.
  • Work alongside STEP, Product and Marcomms teams to understand data requirements, including the delivery thereof in a format fit for purpose.
  • Support migration and data capture activities.
  • Extract, collate, capture, compare and check product data from multiple sources to identify and manage inconsistencies, duplication and channel / user requirements.
  • Identify and recommend changes to processes that will improve accuracy and productivity.
  • Ensure that existing data governance guidelines / policies / processes are adhered to.
  • Engage with Programme, Digital, Product and Marcomms teams to develop sound ways of working and practical processes.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business and external agencies.
  • Manage, train and support less experienced team members.Support the Programme team as and when required.
