Our client is a large secondary school in the Bradford area and within easy transport links and commute of all areas of Bradford & Keighley.
Due to retirement the school is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Premises Manager to join the premises team. Working under the direction of the Premises Manager you will provide a friendly and effective service, undertaking a wide range of duties relating to the school building and grounds
Duties will include:
·Site security, locking and unlocking the school and acting as a key holder
·General routine maintenance and minor repairs
·Supervision of cleaning staff and contractors
·Health & Safety compliance including monitoring and testing of services
·Day to day duties including fire safety, cleaning, deliveries and ordering stock
·Driving the school minibus for school trips and visits
The successful candidate will have:
·Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills.
·A good understanding of health & safety and safeguarding
·A positive, flexible 'can do' attitude
·Excellent communication and organisational skills
·A hardworking and pro-active approach and take pride in high standards of work
·Relevant experience preferably in a school setting.
·A willingness to commit to their professional development
The position is a full time role covering 37 hours per week, term time only plus 4 weeks
This position is temp to perm, salary Band 5 hourly rate equates to £8.57 - £9.24 p/h
