An exciting opportunity to join a successful chemical company as assistant operations manager. This will be an office-based role covering all aspects of the business; administration, operations, marketing, logistics and product development. The company develops and exports a range of speciality chemicals for hygiene, municipal and agricultural use. They operate globally; this is the EU head office.
You will work as part of a small team and closely assist the general manager in the operation of the business. PA duties will include organising travel and accommodation for business trips, acting as first point of contact for visitors, incoming phone calls and emails. You will work with the logistics manager to help coordinate imports and exports of products and samples; you will deputise for the general manager and provide close assistance enabling her to focus on business-critical issues. There will be a range of project work including helping with product launches and marketing.
We are looking for someone who is highly flexible, highly organised, numerate, proficient in MS Office and who is keen to learn. Ideally you will be a graduate and have some scientific knowledge or experience in the chemicals sector. You must be adaptable, able to multi-task, be able to work autonomously and be trusted with high confidential and price sensitive information. The company is growing - you could really make you mark.
