Are you an Insurance Broker, or Insurance Sales Person with excellent analytical and presentation skills who is looking for the next step, or forging a career within the Underwriting sector?
We are currently looking for individuals with previous insurance experience - gained within an insurance company or broker, to join the Product team of a leading UK web-based insurance company in Reigate, in an interesting Research, Analysis and Product Development focused role.
The Underwriting Product department provides support and input for all business areas in relation to business projects that require underwriting consideration.
The team work closely with the Retail department, the Aggregator channel and ASR managers, as well as IT, Operations, Financial Crime and external suppliers.
The purpose of the department and role is to drive and bring about change in Products and business processes by conducting research and analysis of the market including the use of comparison tools.
Responsibilities include:
·Carry out project work in relation to new product developments and system enhancements.
·Carry out analysis of underwriting audits to ensure risk control measures and underwriting criteria are adhered to
·Review competitor products and prices to provide accurate information for reporting purposes and make recommendations based on learning's to enhance our customers' experience of our products
·Analyse complaint trends to identify and report on areas where action may need to be taken on processes, acceptance criteria or product cover
·Completion of papers based on research and analysis for review by the Head of Motor Underwriting
·Assist with the investigation into any operational incidents arising within the business.

Job Requirements
·Technical motor insurance experience in an insurance company or broker
·High literacy and numeric ability
·Have excellent proven organisational skills
·Must have good communication skills - at all levels using both written and verbal methods
·Must be PC literate, able to use word, excel and outlook to an excellent standard
·Must be assertive when required
·Be able to work to tight timeframes
·Educated to A level standard
