An exciting Assistant Merchandiser - International opportunity has arisen here at New Look in our Central London head office. As the Assistant Merchandiser on our International Wholesale team, you will work with the Merchandiser in the smooth running of the Merchandising department. You will be responsible for the day to day relationship management of the Wholesale partners such as ASOS and Zalando and liaising with our Distribution Centre team and Supply Chain teams to ensure the smooth running of intake and distribution. You will motivate and manage a fast paced team to ensure that agreed targets are met.
As Assistant Merchandiser – Wholesale YOU'LL:
Manage intake and distribution targets and detail working with the DC
Work closely with the International Partnership Operations team to deliver a smooth delivery process for all partners
Work closely with the Supply Chain and Supply Base teams to develop and implement strong working practices for smooth stock flow through the business.
Manage and develop a team of up to 3 MAA’s
Manage a growing base of Wholesale Partners, currently sitting at 23
Critical path maintenance and communication – with Suppliers, Supply Chain teams and Wholesale partners
Liaise with Suppliers and Core BMD teams to capture any issues that would relate to Wholesale deliveries
Support Wholesale Merchandiser with continued overall development of Wholesale initiative
Closely follow partners budgets and help to track OTB’s and Intake
Support in Margin target management
Track Flow Lines to ensure Partners basic stock levels are maintained
Produce Adhoc analysis for the Senior Team and Wider business
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Previous experience in Merchandising
A proactive approach to problem solving, negotiation and coping under pressure
Good attention to detail
Possess sound commercial acumen and a genuine interest in the retail market.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and enthusiasm are also essential to succeed in this role, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Ability to communicate with all levels – with both internal and external stakeholders
Strong team management and motivational skills
