Assistant Operations Manager Kegworth £20-25k, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
We are working with a prestigous client who have managed offices and accommodation across several locations who are looking to recruit an Assistant Operations Manager to assist the General Manager on a day to day basis
So as the Assistant Operations Manager what will you be doing ?
You will be responsible for the sales and operational aspects of several sites within a 25 mile vicinity and will help with the arrival and departure of clients, making sure the offices and rooms are made ready for them.
You will be jointly responsible for setting and delivering to budgets and for the management of purchasing for both everyday consumables and providing support in the sales and marketing of the accommodation, handling sales enquiries from individual guests and property management companies and keeping up to date accurate records.
You will manage the availability for the online sites and arrange cleaning and weekend cover for properties, maintaining stock for breakfast packs, beverages, toiletries etc. Responding to guest emails and taking responsibility for out of hours issues for guests.
This is a varied role where you are able to use your organisational and creative skills to look at new opportunities to market the sites.
So as the Assistant Operations Manager what will you need to have ?
You will need to be confident, have excellent communication skills and be used to dealing with customers at all levels.
You will also need good commercial skills and be able to spot new business opportunities along with a solid understanding of the impact of price on profit and the importance of reaching win/win solutions in negotiation.
To be able to sell in a confident and persuasive manner - communicating with people at all levels, and all walks of life.
Have the drive and determination to carry a sale right through to closure. To be able to adopt a resourceful and innovative approach to the sales process.
Relate to the market and have an understanding of competitors and business trends.
Analyse this information to propose initiatives to develop the centres services.
The ability to lead and motivate staff - to be open, share information and work with people, to recognise and develop the skills of others and provide guidance and support where necessary.
