SVA CAR LAMPS & BODY PANELS are the largest independent importer and distributor of crash repair parts in London. Established since 1972 we have an extensive understanding of the automotive industry and unrivalled knowledge in this competitive and forever changing industry. Our aim is to supply high quality parts to the automotive industry at competitive prices. We provide a three times a day delivery service within the M25, and our vehicles have real-time tracking which enables us to provide an excellent delivery service with realistic arrival times. We have the largest range of crash repair parts in the UK. We import from worldwide sources, enabling us to offer very low prices without compromising on quality. We have two branches in North and South London respectively, and are undergoing major expansion plans which will mean opening of further new branches.

We currently looking for an Assistant Manager for our Mitcham branch for immediate start. We are looking for someone with the following qualities who will be able to undertake and assist in the responsibilities listed below:

Outline of responsibilities:

Oversight of all branch activities including but not limited to:

Fleet Management & Deliveries

  • Work with the sales team to ensure timely deliveries
  • Ensure drivers are loaded and leave depot on time
  • Route deliveries
  • Deal with daily driver issues
  • Maintain and log vehicle checks and damage

Warehouse & Stock Control

  • Order parts to maintain stock levels
  • Manage offloading of container deliveries
  • Ensure smooth running of transfer of goods between branches
  • Oversee stock taking

General Branch Admin, Maintenance & HR

  • Manage and process counter sales orders
  • Manage warehouse staff and drivers
  • Maintain and process paperwork for goods in/out
  • Process paper work for returned stock items
  • Responsible for cash handling and end of day banking/cash
  • Conduct first round interviews for personnel replacements/additions to the branch
  • Train and mentor new and existing drivers
  • Short term cover for short staffed situations
  • Help implement new procedures and duties
  • Carry out everyday office tasks given by the Manager

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Working hours: - Mon - Fri 8.00am - 6.00pm, Alternate Sat 8.30am - 3.30pm
